Course Description

This course helps you analyze fundamental biological principles from a human perspective. The Human Biology topics include the molecular and cellular basis of life, genetics, organ systems, and the impact of nutrition and exercise on human health.
 

Course objectives

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe basic human biology concepts.
  • Describe skeletal and muscular systems.
  • Articulate nervous system and sensory system related to human health.
  • Analyze respiratory, circulatory, immune and digestive systems.
  • Describe urinary, endocrine, and reproductive systems.
  • Describe genetics and biotechnology and their application.

Course Dates

All courses are offered on a rolling enrollment basis. You choose your own start date and have 60 days to complete each course. However, because the courses are self-paced, you can complete them in fewer than 60 days.

Self-Paced, 60 day completion, free 30 day extension available.
